What is MS word?
MS Word is a word processing software developed by Microsoft Company which was released on October 25, 1983.
It was developed by Richard Brodie and Charles Simonyi in 1983 while using Unix operating system.
Initially this program was named as “multi-Tool Word” but later, was renamed as MS Word
How to start MS word on computer?
Click on Start button ——> All Programs ——> MS Office (2016) → MS Word

Press Window/Start button + R ——-> Type “WinWord”
What are the uses of MS Word?
Microsoft Word used to create professional quality of documents such as Resume, Invoice, Letters, Reports, Classes notes etc. in the field of education.
Microsoft Word is word processor, computer program that is used to write and revise documents, compose the layout of the text, and preview on a computer monitor how the printed copy will appear.

The first version of Word for Windows was released in 1989 at a price of 500 US dollars. With release of window 3.0 , It was version 2.0 of Word, that firmly established Microsoft Word as the market leader.
Word 5.1 for the Macintosh, released in 1992, was a popular word processor due to its elegance, relative ease of use, and feature set
Version 6.0 for the Macintosh, released in 1994 was the first version of Word based on a common codebase between the Windows and Mac versions
Word 97 had the same general operating performance as later versions such as Word 2000. This was the first copy of Word featuring the “Office Assistant”.
Word 2007, included with Microsoft Office 2007 suites, includes numerous changes, including a new XML-based file format, a redesigned interface, an integrated equation editor.
